Here are this week's FonderX cash exchange rates for the ten currencies our Greater Vancouver customers ask about most. Compared with last week, most rates barely moved: the US dollar, British pound and euro (on our buy side) eased slightly, the Japanese yen firmed a little, and several currencies did not change at all.
All figures below are Canadian dollars per 1 unit of foreign currency, taken from our live board on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 9:47 AM Pacific. Rates change through the day, so check today's rates before you come in.

"We Sell" is what you pay us when you buy a currency for a trip. "We Buy" is what we pay you when you bring foreign cash back to sell. The change column compares our We Sell rate with the snapshot taken on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

What moved since last week
The biggest change on the buy side was the Philippine peso. Our We Buy rate went from 0.0224 to 0.02142, so if you are selling 20,000 pesos back to us you would receive 428.40 CAD at today's rate, compared with 448.00 CAD last week. Our We Sell rate for PHP stayed at 0.0243.
The British pound eased on both sides. We Sell went from 1.9126 to 1.9063 and We Buy went from 1.8509 to 1.8448. For someone buying 500 pounds, that is 953.15 CAD this week instead of 956.30 CAD.
The US dollar slipped slightly too. Buying 1,000 US dollars costs 1,419.20 CAD at today's We Sell rate of 1.4192, about 1.30 CAD less than last week's 1,420.50 CAD. If you are selling 500 US dollars back to us, you would receive 694.05 CAD at our We Buy rate of 1.3881.
The euro's We Sell rate held at 1.6300, so 1,000 euros still costs 1,630.00 CAD. Our We Buy rate for euros dipped from 1.5545 to 1.5500.
On the other side, the Japanese yen firmed a little. We Sell rose from 0.009214 to 0.009264, so 100,000 yen costs 926.40 CAD today versus 921.40 CAD last week. The Australian dollar also edged up, with We Sell moving from 1.0105 to 1.0111.
The Mexican peso, Chinese yuan, Indian rupee and Hong Kong dollar held steady on the We Sell side. At 0.08800, 10,000 Mexican pesos costs 880.00 CAD, the same as last week.
How to read these numbers
Every rate is the number of Canadian dollars for one unit of the other currency. To work out a total, multiply the amount of foreign cash by the rate. For example, 20,000 Philippine pesos at our We Sell rate of 0.02430 comes to 486.00 CAD.
For currencies with very small unit values, like the yen, rupee or peso, it helps to think in round amounts. Multiply 100,000 yen by 0.0092640 and you get 926.40 CAD. The gap between the two rates is what lets us buy and sell cash on the spot, any weekday.
Keep in mind that a week-to-week change of a fraction of a cent matters most on large amounts. On a few hundred dollars of travel cash, the difference is usually small, so the best time to buy is often simply when your trip plans are firm.

- Call ahead at (778) 759-0400 if you need a large amount or a less common currency, so we can confirm what is in stock.
- Bring Canadian cash to buy foreign currency. We do not take cards, e-transfers or cheques.
- Bring valid government photo ID for every exchange.
- If you work as a paramedic, firefighter, police officer, 911 dispatcher, nurse, ER doctor or teacher, ask about our Frontline Heroes Rate and bring your work ID.
